Neil Gaiman's The Sandman (Volumes 1 to 10)

The Sandman is an American comic book series written by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics imprint Vertigo. Its artists include Sam Kieth, Mike Dringenberg, Jill Thompson, Shawn McManus, Marc Hempel, and Michael Zulli, with lettering by Todd Klein and covers by Dave McKean. Beginning with issue No. 47, it was placed under the Vertigo imprint. It tells the story of Dream of the Endless, who rules over the world of dreams. The original series ran for 75 issues from January 1989 to March 1996, with Gaiman's contract stipulating that the series would end when he left it.

The main character of The Sandman is Dream, also known as Morpheus and other names, who is one of the seven Endless. The other Endless are Destiny, Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium–who was once Delight–and Destruction–who turned his back on his duties. The series is famous for Gaiman's trademark use of anthropomorphic personification of various metaphysical entities, while also blending mythology and history in its horror setting within the DC Universe. The Sandman is a story about stories and how Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, is captured and subsequently learns that sometimes change is inevitable. The Sandman was Vertigo's flagship title, and is available as a series of ten trade paperbacks, a recolored five-volume Absolute hardcover edition with slipcase, in a black-and-white Annotated edition, and is available for digital download. Critically acclaimed, The Sandman was one of the first few graphic novels ever to be on the New York Times Best Seller list, along with Maus, Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns. It was one of five graphic novels to make Entertainment Weekly's "100 best reads from 1983 to 2008," ranking at No. 46. Norman Mailer described the series as "a comic strip for intellectuals." The series is noted for having a large influence over the fantasy genre and graphic novel medium since then.

Various film and television versions of Sandman have been developed unsuccessfully since the 1990s. In a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International in 2007, Gaiman remarked that "[he'd] rather see no Sandman movie made than a bad Sandman movie." In 2013, Warner Bros. announced that David S. Goyer will be producing a film adaptation of the comic book series with Joseph Gordon-Levitt within its upcoming Vertigo film slate. Gordon-Levitt dropped out on Mar 5th, 2016, after Eric Heisserer was brought on as screenwriter.

Civil War - Ms. Marvel 2

The Civil War has begun and superheroes are forced to make a choice: register with the government or face incarceration. Ms. Marvel has chosen the former. 

Ms. Marvel leads a S.H.I.E.L.D. team to arrest unregistered superhero the Prowler, also known as Hobie Brown. Their mission is a success and the team returns to base. 

The next morning, Simon Williams visits Carol at her apartment, reminding her of their debriefing with Iron Man. They fly to Stark Tower and re-meet Julia Carpenter, now operating under the identity "Arachne." In the debriefing, Iron Man assigns their new missions: Arachne will go after Max Coleridge/The Shroud while Ms. Marvel and Wonder Man will search for the teenage superheroine Araña. Before Ms. Marvel leaves for her mission, Iron Man asks her about Captain America's whereabouts, and she claims she does not know. 

Ms. Marvel remembers her earlier conversation with Captain America. He wanted her to support his anti-registration movement, but Carol had decided to register, claiming she was doing her duty as an American citizen. Cap says she is obeying an unjust law that disregards civil liberties, but Carol replies people are afraid and the Superhuman Registration Act will make them feel safer. 

Meanwhile, at Ryker's Island, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent interrogates Hobie Brown about who informed him of S.H.I.E.L.D. presence in his neighborhood. The agent even threatens Hobie's wife with incarceration and Hobie is forced to admit Arachne was his informant. 

Arachne visits The Shroud, her boyfriend, at his apartment. The Shroud advises her to remain at Iron Man's faction lest her daughter will be in danger at the same time S.H.I.E.L.D. forces storm the penthouse. Although the Shroud claims Arachne was about to arrest him, Arachne chooses to help the Shroud escape, both becoming fugitives. 

Later, after an evening of patrolling, Carol and Simon go to a fast food restaurant to have dinner, the same restaurant Anya Corazon works at. A bunch of robbers attempt to attack the customers, but Carol and Simon neutralize them, just as Anya puts on her Araña outfit before them.
